ENC In-Depth podcast: Will Deliberation Save Our Democracies? A domestic and foreign policy analysis

This ENC In-Depth podcast is dedicated to the topic of democracy: how it is under threat and whether deliberation and sortation can support it, at the local and political level, on insecurity and foreign affairs. The podcast focuses on the ineffectiveness of our current electoral governance systems with regards to polarisation, information consumption and new technologies, including disinformation. It outlines how existing deliberative democratic governance based on sortition can help curtail these issues.

The discussion was moderated by Andreas Marazis, ENC Head of Research for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and features the comments and insights of Samuel Doveri Vesterbye, ENC Managing Director and Pepijn Kennis, Member of the Parliament of the Brussels-Capital Region and ENC External Advisor.
